• 2 to 4 p.m., Roaring River Vineyards, 493 Brewer Mill Road, Traphill, will host a Paint Your Wine Glass class featuring visiting glass painting artist, Melanie De Pietro of Scranton, Pennsylvania, at The Gathering Place Pavilion. Cost is $25 per person plus tax, with all supplies provided and one glass of wine and a snack. Reservations are required by credit card no later than Oct. 19 by calling 336-957-2332. Oct. 28

• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., WoodMill Winery, 1350 Woodmill Winery Lane, Vale, will host its Spooktacular Kid’s event. Admission is free, and the day will include a hot dog lunch, kid’s games and activities, and trunk or treat. It is sponsored by Partnership for Children for Lincoln & Gaston. Nov. 19

• 2 to 4 p.m., Roaring River Vineyards, 493 Brewer Mill Road, Traphill, will host a LulaRoe women’s clothing trunk show in the indoor gathering place. For more information, contact the vineyard at 336-957-2332.

Dec. 2

• 9 a.m., Round Peak Vineyard, 765 Round Peak Church Road, Mount Airy, will host its fifth annual Surry County Disc Golf Tourney benefiting Foothills Food Pantry. The newly-established vineyard course wanders through the vines with baskets made from retired wine barrels. Sign-up starts at 9 a.m. with tee off at 10 a.m. Only one round will be played, with six divisions, pro, rec, intermediate, masters, grand masters and ladies. The disc golf club will be awarding prizes and holding a raffle. Entry fees will be collected in the form on canned, nonperishable food, with additional monetary donations accepted.

Dec. 31

Jan. 20

• 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 3 to 7 p.m., Round Peak Vineyard, 765 Round Peak Church Road, Mount Airy, will give visitors an opportunity to try their hand at winemaking during its Signature Series Blending. Once participants create and perfect their blend, the staff will assist in blending, bottling and labeling a case of their signature wine to take home. Also, tasting of others made during the event will be held with voting on the best. Round Peak will then make a limited production of the winning wine. There are two sessions, and reservations are required as space is limited. Cost is $300 per couple, and includes instruction, wine, lunch and a case of the signature blend.
